The mission of Ruàh Community Outreach is to establish and coordinate a holistic network of organizations, individuals and allies dedicated to ensuring the safety, health, education, economic and emotional stability of Black & minority families who are impacted by poverty and disenfranchisement.

Ruàh is a faith based organization following in the footsteps of the NAACP, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and the National Urban League. The name is taken from ancient Hebrew and means breath, life, or in this case spirit. To capture the concept of divinity in the logo we selected a flame, which resonated with spiritual nature of the organization. For the wordmark we wanted to feel established without feeling academic. After several attempts with serifed fonts we selected Trojan, which feels ancient and biblical without being comical like Papyrus.
